Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) — Weekend Triage (Kansas City Metro)
Position : Hospice RN — Weekend Triage
Schedule : Saturday & Sunday, 8 : 30 AM–4 : 30 PM
Location : Kansas City Metro (triage support for patients / families)
Pay : Hourly (competitive; based on experience)
Position Overview
We’re seeking a compassionate, confident Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Weekend Triage Nurse supporting hospice patients and families across the Kansas City Metro . This role is ideal for an RN who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and can guide patients and caregivers through symptom concerns with professionalism and empathy.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hospice triage nursing support during weekend hours
- Assess symptoms and concerns, provide nursing guidance, and determine next steps (visit need, escalation, physician notification, etc.)
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and end-of-life symptom management guidance
- Document triage assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
