Candidates will need to attend an full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm

Candidate may be required to work 16 hr shift as needed

WORK ENVIORNMENT :

The North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) is a maximum security, all male forensic mental health facility located in Gainesville, Florida. It has a current capacity of 193 residents.

TYPE OF PATIENTS :

The average age of our residents is early 30's. The goal is to get those committed as Incompetent to Proceed to Trial (-78%) back to their committing courts for disposition of their charges, and those committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (-22%) to a less restrictive environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One year of nursing experience, strongly preferred.
• Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training.
• Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire.
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to lift and carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion.
