3 Med Surge is a 36-bed unit providing care for patients with both medical and surgical diagnosis. The population served is adolescent to geriatric patients. 3-Med Surge will care for medical and surgical patients. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

• Assessment of patients needs.
• Development of patient care plan / s.
• Provision of direct care.
• Management of patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Support for quality care.
• Customer relations and healing environment.
• On call requirement weekends / holidays picked by rotation.
• Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.
• Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.
• Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.

Benefits : Part-Time 4 weekly hours (0.1 FTE) - 23.99 weekly hours (0.60FTE)
