POSITION TITLE : Process Engineer

POSITION LOCATION : 1431 Progress Avenue High Point NC 27260

HOURS : Full Time / 40 hours

JOB DUTIES : Conduct projects and initiatives in-line with site and business needs tracking all stages to deliver on production quality health / safety / environmental and cost targets. Projects and initiatives include capital strategic expense; and site business or company-wide engineering HSE or other unique requisites. Participate in project initiation to develop needs or business case and obtain high-level overview of project objectives from project originator. Contribute to project planning refine project charter create work scope and request for quote / bid documentation obtain and tabulate cost estimates develop engineering and execution / construction timelines and obtain buy-in from stakeholders on project / initiative progression. Oversee execution / construction and commissioning coordinating with external resources and internal labor and production schedules. Supervise key aspects of execution and commissioning as needed and report back issues or deviations from plan to site -leads development of maintenance plans / equipment maintenance strategies spare parts decisions training procedure creation and ensures project is not closed until documentation is complete. Occasionally take ownership past handoff overseeing day-to-day operation and ensuring project goals continue to be achieved for up to several months. Train team members to take ownership and continue to support development during extended handoff activities. Interface with other functions such as R&D Marketing Supply Chain and Engineering at other sites as it relates to owned projects and initiatives. Provide expertise for onsite operations and maintenance groups related to owned projects and initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS : Bachelors degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement Process Engineering and Controls Engineering with 1 year in industrial coatings and chemical manufacturing processes.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with :

1) 3 years of project management experience.

2) Industrial coatings and chemical manufacturing experience working with pigments solvents and other chemicals used in coatings manufacturing and the machinery and computer systems that support coatings and chemical manufacturing.

3) Operation and maintenance of process equipment used in industrial coatings and chemical manufacturing

4) Execution use of Safe Work Permit (PTW) Management of Change (MOC) and OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.

5) Power BI and SAP / ERP experience.

6) Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) control systems to include ABB Control Systems.

7) Six sigma and lean manufacturing experience.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
