We are currently looking for a new medical assistant to join the team at one of our Florida practices Academic Alliance in Dermatology (). Academic Alliance in Dermatology an affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology has 23 locations throughout Southwest & Central Florida. Responsibilities

• Escort p atient to exam room and confirm first & last name & DOB .
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Organize patient flow .
• Setup p rocedure tray instruments and equipment according to i nstructions .
• Prepare Path / lab specimens route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan .
• Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed .
• Check to-dos / Nurse line .
• Calibrate clean sterilize and inventory all equipment & instruments according to schedule . Keep appropriate records of maintenance.
• Maintain medication supplies discard out-of-date supplies and keep appropriate records .
• Maintain infection control and make sure s upply rooms and cabinets are stocked.
• Ordering sorting restocking and inventory of all supplies.
• Document all medical instructions given to patients thoroughly review wound care with patients when applicable.
• Anesthesia / Inject for p rocedures.
• Ensure all phone messages faxes and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner .
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance
• Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management .
