Imaging Office Support Specialist

Imaging Department Position

Provides point of contact service for anyone entering or calling the Imaging Department. Creates a positive, professional impression for each patient, family member, physician, or staff while performing primary duties. Exercises good personal judgment in problem solving, patient needs, and physician requests. Registering patients; collecting co-pays / other payments due; answering phones; making patient appointment reminder calls; serve as a liaison and assistant to physicians, technologists, and nursing staff in Imaging Services; uses Synapse and PACS GEAR to make and / or load CDs; adhere to strict guidelines for release of patient's Imaging records, filling out and obtaining all necessary paperwork.

Job Requirements :

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

• High School Diploma required
• Experience in a healthcare environment or clinical education in a healthcare environment preferred
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology, exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• BLS through American Heart Association required
• Physical Requirements : Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 10lbs frequently)

Pay Range : $18.00 - $25.33 / hour
