Chief Financial Officer (Private Equity owned distribution company)

About the Company : Our client is a private equity backed multi location distribution business HQ in the Los Angeles area and with additional locations across the west coast. This Company is well positioned for continued and sustained aggressive growth.

About the Role : This is a hands‐on CFO position within a fast-growing organization backed by a well known sponsor.

Responsibilities :

  • The CFO will be responsible for day‐to‐day operations of the financial and accounting functions.
  • Help develop and evaluate operational metrics.
  • Support the improvement of business processes.
  • Assure the integrity of all financial data.
  • Assist in M&A diligence and integration efforts.
  • Play a strategic role in helping accomplish the company's goals while joining a high functioning, collaborative leadership team.

Qualifications :

  • Must currently reside in the L.A. area
  • Must have prior CFO experience in a successful, growth-oriented, lower-mid to mid-market size retail or distribution business and one that was backed by a reputable private equity firm.
  • Experience working at a strategic level as a partner to the CEO, Board, operations, and other key executives helping shape the direction of the Company.

    • Required Skills :

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, team building, and strategically focused leadership skills that include superior communications, team-based motivational tactics, and creative instincts.
  • Must have the ability to help drive the organization and be a strong and supportive business partner to the CEO.
  • Prior success upgrading and maturing an organization’s financial infrastructure by improving reporting, budgeting, cost controls, and auditing systems.
  • Must have strong, balanced technical financial skills with an operational orientation.
