Telephone Operator

3-day Flex WFH Shifts: Must be willing and able to work the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift Rotation Schedule (includes weekends and holidays)

A friendly and reliable Telephone Operator is needed to work a rotating switchboard schedule at the Palmerton Telephone Company.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Answering phones and properly routing calls
• Monitoring Alarms and Medical Alerts
• Providing answering Services for Doctors' offices and others
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
• Established residency in Pennsylvania
• Valid PA Driver's License
• Computer Proficiency
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs preferred - Outlook, Word and Excel
• Familiarity with the local area helpful
• Excellent Communications Skills - Pleasant Speaking Voice
• Neat penmanship
• Dependability / Reliability
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to be detail oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to handle phone calls in a calm and professional manner in all circumstances
• Ability to work a very flexible schedule in order to accommodate Swing Shift (1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift schedule rotation) to include weekends and holidays as required
