Job Description

The Work

As a software developer you will be part of the team that writes the software (currently ~1.5million lines of code) that controls the missile defense system that protects the US. You will work in a collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms and may participate in code modernization and translating Ada code to C++. Many of the algorithms and capabilities implemented by the team are mathematics and physics based complex solutions that will be highly visible to the customer. You will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed in support of the software team.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field along with 5 years related engineering experience
Demonstrated ability to develop Software in Ada or C++or Java
Recent MATLAB and Python Experience
Unix / Linux Operating System Experience
Active Final Secret Clearance

Desired Skills :

Highly experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations

Experience with automated software requirements testing and analysis

Experience with the MDA GMD program.

Experience with Agile Project Management tools (Jira / Confluence) and DevSecOps tools and methods (Jenkins, Ansible, Git / Gitlab) of continuous integration / continuous delivery and deployment (CI / CD) automation

Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics

Willingness to become highly proficient with Ada software development

Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level : Secret

Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday off
