Security Officer - Unarmed Utility Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Utility Patrol in Fresno, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as part of your daily duties, embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 30 AM

Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 30 AM

Fri 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM

Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for any unusual conditions or suspicious activity within the utility environment and report findings as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and daily activities.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided for the utility location, adapting to any changes in procedures as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
