Senior Technical Tax Manager

Requirements & Qualifications

  • CPA or Tax Attorney with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and mentoring a small tax team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Deep knowledge of federal tax law, including pass-throughs and corporations.

    • Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with 1120s, trusts, estates, and gift tax planning.
  • Familiarity with private equity and venture capital clients.

    • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Stay updated with the latest tax regulations and provide authoritative advice on challenging tax matters.
  • Scrutinize intricate tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal tax positions before filing.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for the tax team.
  • Address and resolve inquiries and provide guidance on complex client scenarios.
  • Mentor and train team members on internal processes and procedures.
  • Meet with high-profile or complex clients to provide tailored tax solutions.
