Ignite Voices and Connections in the Charming Mile High City - Become a Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Imagine a career that empowers individuals to share their stories and express their needs. As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled in the vibrant and picturesque landscape of Denver, your role encompasses far more than therapy for communication and swallowing challenges; it represents a profound calling to enhance lives, instill hope, and foster relationships. Your work will nurture the earliest words of infants and restore the voices of the elderly-each patient a chapter in a remarkable journey of recovery and connection.

In this rewarding position, you will embrace the unique challenges of serving diverse populations throughout their entire lifespan, seamlessly merging your expertise in outpatient therapy with occasions for inpatient engagement. Whether you find joy in addressing pediatric speech development, mastering neurogenic communication disorders, or guiding geriatrics toward newfound independence, you'll discover a supportive and flexible environment that champions not only your professional aspirations but also your passion for making a difference.

Description

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments as well as observational methodologies.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that concentrate on immediate objectives and the comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations of your clients.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that prioritize language, voice, fluency, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to design effective care strategies for the holistic progress of each patient.
  • Educate patients and families to underpin therapeutic advancements beyond the clinical settings.
  • Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, promoting continuity of care throughout the patient's healing journey.
  • Ensure meticulous and prompt documentation that complies with state, federal, and internal protocols.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements within your field through continual education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA certified.
  • Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire.
  • Skills

  • Expertise in evidence-informed treatment modalities applicable to all age groups, with a comprehensive knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster rich communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adept at modifying therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving proficiency.
  • Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation regulations.
  • Benefits

  • Competitive salary reflective of your experience and expertise.
  • Flexible scheduling to achieve a work-life balance tailored to varied caseloads.
  • Avenues to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.
  • Paid vacation time (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
  • Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collaborative atmosphere focused on delivering exceptional care and nurturing lifelong learning.
  • A Career Path That Elevates You - and Those Around You

In this pivotal role, you have the opportunity not just to administer speech therapy but to actively contribute to a community mission dedicated to bettering lives. You'll join forces with colleagues who foster a spirit of kinship, believing in teamwork over competition, and recognizing the richness of each person's story-trusting you to help narrate it.

Why You'll Adore Living and Working in Denver

There is an energetic pulse in Denver that combines the excitement of a burgeoning urban center with the beauty of the adjacent Rocky Mountains. Often celebrated for its stunning outdoor landscapes and cultural richness, Denver invites individuals seeking a harmonious balance of work and play. Picture yourself taking weekend jaunts into the mountains for breathtaking hikes, skiing, or enjoying the aesthetic debauchery of local art galleries and craft breweries after work hours.

Families gather at parks full of life, engage in community events, and explore farmer's markets bursting with local produce, while adventurers savor the thrill of biking through scenic trails. Here, you will immerse yourself in a community where innovation meets creativity, and collective spirit melds with individual expression. The city affords a lively arts scene, incredible culinary talents, and plenty of venues for music and entertainment, ensuring that each day brings new avenues for exploration, connection, and delight.

Moreover, the pragmatic rewards of living in Denver-like no state income tax and a cost of living that accommodates diverse lifestyles-further elevate it as a prime location for professional growth and personal fulfillment.

Whether you are just embarking on your career or are an experienced clinician keen on expanding your horizons, Denver presents the fertile ground for both your personal and professional aspirations.

    Who We're Seeking

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is driven by compassion and the desire to make a meaningful impact. Whether you envision an exuberant world for a shy toddler who speaks softly or feel the fierce determination of a stroke survivor battling their speech hurdles, your empathy can inspire profound transformation.

Whether you focus primarily on pediatrics, eager to expand into adult therapy, or specialize in neuro-based care but wish to infuse your practice with early intervention tactics, we welcome your unique strengths.

If your heart longs to serve with skill and compassion, we invite you to find your place with us.

    Let's Shape Lives - Together

If you believe in the power of speech beyond mere sound and see therapy as a meaningful exchange rather than a checklist of tasks-if you cherish the trust inherent in therapy and appreciate laughter just as much as language-then this could very well be the exciting next chapter of your career.

Become a part of a community that celebrates dialogue, connection, and the courageous steps that lead to transformative healing. Apply now to share your knowledge with our team and empower others to discover their voices.
