Radiology Customer Support Assistant
In this pivotal role, you will oversee and ensure that exams received from Direct Radiology (DR) clients are complete and ready for interpretation in a timely manner. You will assist in the communication of critical findings, liaising between radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel as needed. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient workflow and supporting high-quality patient care and safety.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position consisting of 8.5-hour shifts (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Available shifts fall between 12 : 30 p.m. and 4 : 30 a.m. Pacific Time, depending on department needs, and will adjust to the candidate’s local time zone. All positions require working every weekend as part of the regular schedule .
Your Role :
As a member of the Direct Radiology team, this position is an essential part of a 24 / 7 operation that supports radiologists in managing imaging study volume and optimizing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Monitor and manage emergent and non-emergent workflow queues to ensure cases are processed within designated turnaround times.
- Communicate and coordinate with hospitals and sites to resolve case-specific or general issues, including relaying critical findings to care providers.
- Complete support requests from radiologists, such as obtaining missing images, reports, exam details, or additional patient history to facilitate accurate and timely interpretations.
- Document issues that arise during the shift in the Shift Change Summary Report and escalate concerns to the Supervisor, Manager, or appropriate department.
- Report and follow up on IT-related issues affecting staff or radiologists to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Provide assistance to radiologists with questions, requests, or concerns
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
