We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology Developer to design and implement industrial control systems and OT solutions within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical R&D environment.
The role focuses on PLC programming, SCADA and HMI development, system integration, and compliant solution design aligned with GAMP 5 and GxP requirements. The position requires close collaboration with product owners, architects, and cross functional stakeholders within scaled Agile delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop industrial control systems and OT solutions in alignment with GAMP 5 guidelines, including preparation of technical specifications and validation support documentation
- Ensure system designs support GxP compliant operation within regulated R&D environments
- Design and implement PLC programs as well as SCADA and HMI applications
- Implement real time data exchange solutions using established industrial communication protocols
- Demonstrate developed solutions through structured presentations and proof of concept implementations
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and participate in Agile or Nexus framework ceremonies

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical disciplineProfessional Experience
Minimum 7 years of hands on experience in Industrial Control Systems and Operational TechnologyProven expertise in PLC programming and SCADA or HMI development within R&D or similarly regulated environmentsTechnical Skills
Strong expertise in STL, FBD, Ladder, and object oriented programming, preferably using Siemens TIA Portal or CODESYSAdvanced experience in SCADA or HMI development, ideally with Siemens WinCC, Ignition, or Aveva System PlatformExperience implementing data exchange via OPC DA, OPC UA, MODBUS, or Ethernet / IP protocolsExperience with DCS solutions such as DeltaV or Siemens PCSExperience in UI design and prototypingSolid knowledge of MS SQL Server and the .NET frameworkPreferred Qualifications
Strong hands on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens WinCCPractical experience implementing Module Type Package conceptsExperience with RESTful APIs and WebSocket technologiesFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks, version control systems such as GitHub, Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and CI / CD pipelines in industrial automation environmentsExperience with virtualization technologies, Docker, monitoring and logging tools such as PrometheusExposure to technologies such as RabbitMQ, Java, or virtualized SCADA and PLC environmentsFamiliarity with ISA 88 and ISA 95 standardsExperience working within Agile methodologies and the Nexus frameworkKnowledge of AI based solutions and their application within the software development lifecycleWorking Environment
