Receiver

The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel based in London. We have opened a new property with an all-day public restaurant and private members’ club located in the former Margaret Louisa Home in Union Square.

We are looking for a Goods Receiver to join our team. This role will work out of the hotel and will report to the finance team.

Overview :

The Goods Receiver is responsible for receiving, checking, and organizing all deliveries into the hotel, restaurant, and members’ spaces, with a strong emphasis on beverage products alongside food and operational goods. This role ensures all items meet The Twenty Two’s quality standards, delivery records are accurately maintained, and products are stored correctly to support smooth daily operations.

General Responsibilities :

• Receives, inspects, and signs for all incoming deliveries, including food, beverage (wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic), and operational supplies.
• Checks deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes for accuracy, quality, quantity, and condition.
• Verifies beverage deliveries for correct brands, vintages, labels, and quantities, escalating discrepancies or quality concerns as needed.
• Reports shortages, damages, or errors to the Purchasing Manager and relevant department heads.
• Ensures goods are stored promptly and correctly, following food safety, beverage storage, and security standards.
• Maintains organized storage areas, including dry goods, cold storage, and beverage storage, applying FIFO and proper rotation practices.
• Communicates effectively with suppliers, kitchen, bar, and operations teams to support efficient workflow.
• Supports inventory counts and stock control processes, with particular attention to beverage inventory.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
