Job Title : Bakery Operator

Job Description

The Bakery Operator is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment involved in the production and packaging processes. This role involves coordinating a team of Bakery associates to support the production line and ensuring all operations align with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all safety, GMP, and quality policies and regulations.
• Monitor product quality and ensure product specifications are met.
• Assist with training and cross-training initiatives.
• Provide break rotations and lunch coverage for employees as needed.
• Continuously improve knowledge of all products and production requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace during and after production runs.
• Monitor finished product quality to eliminate defects and enhance throughput.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve challenges and improve operational efficiencies.
• Perform routine safety checks to maintain a safe working environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing setting adhering to GMP standards. It can be very hot and loud, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Employees are expected to wear appropriate attire including non-slip safety shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.75 / hr.
