DESCRIPTION
Manages and supervises all warehouse activities which include: receiving, storage, packaging, shipping, delivery, document control, safety and maintenance of the facility and assigned equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or greater. Manage day to day accuracy of receipts, order selection, and auditing of outbound shipments.
Operate the warehouse within established budgetary expense goals.
Ensure the proper storage of merchandise in accordance with standard warehouse procedures. Maintain storage plans and warehouse locator systems to optimize the amount of product that can be stored.
Ensure that efficient, economical, and timely delivery schedules to customers are developed and maintained.
Monitor and review the performance of common carriers employed to ensure quality on-time service at economical freight rates.
Maintain a safe work environment for all associates. Comply with all safety and health standards and educate warehouse associates in proper safety procedures. Ensure that all equipment and vehicles used in warehouse operations are safely maintained and operated.
Maintenance of an aggressive shelf-life management and stock rotation program to control loss of outdated product.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and recommend salary adjustments for all warehouse associates.
Ensure all security systems function correctly and that proper procedures are followed in the daily opening and securing of the warehouse to provide protection of the facility, equipment and merchandise.
Ensure all Local, State and Federal Regulations and Sanitation Codes that pertain to conducting business are complied with.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 5 to 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Must have prior supervisory experience.
Familiarity with interstate and intrastate LTL shipping requirements.
Experience with automated shipping systems and inventory management software.
Bilingual/Spanish desired.
