[job_card.job_description]Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Assist with controlling access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification, and monitoring entrances and exits. Work closely with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed. Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements. Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines. At least two years of security-related experience are required. An armed guard card or license is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
