Remote is fine. Just need the individual to be able to work during the hours of 8AM to 5PM CST. They will be accessing system environment through VDI.

Description :

Seeking an experienced DB2LUW database administrator to lead the setup, configuration and knowledge transfer of a new installation of IBM DB2LUW in AWS.

Standardized Summary of Qualifications

BA / BS degree in (Please choose Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline) preferred or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines

Advanced degree a plus

The minimum years of experience may be reduced for a candidate who has previously and continuously demonstrated highly effective performance

Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word

Mainframe IBM DB2 experience required

In depth understanding of applicable products and / or services and of client needs and expectations

Ability to demonstrate a questioning attitude toward established work processes and procedures

Advanced knowledge, skills and experience to perform all work requirements for the specific technical discipline; Also proficient in advanced features and functions for the specific technical discipline

Sound leadership and mentoring capabilities

Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective

Excellent analytical abilities and troubleshooting skills

Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirement : At Minimum completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D., unless specified that a higher level of education is required for the position or stated otherwise in the job description.
