Work Schedule :

100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday, 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM. On-call rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

  • This position may be eligible for a $15,000.00 sign-on bonus
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants

We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician II to :

  • Perform and record preventive maintenance of equipment through periodic performance checks and measurements.
  • Diagnose and implement repairs both in shop and critical care settings including operating rooms, trauma units, emergency rooms, and various other patient care areas in a timely manner to minimize down time.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities performed on assigned medical equipment and update the department database of this record of service, completely and promptly

    • Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field Required
  • Two (2) years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering Preferred

    • Work Experience

  • 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment Required
  • 2 years previous experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or electronics related technical field experience Preferred

    • Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver's license in the person's state of residence
  • Must be 21 years of age or have three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Patient / Visitor Vehicle or UW Health Vehicle other than a golf cart or utility terrain vehicle Upon Hire Required
  • OEM or computer system certifications applicable to UW Health Preferred
