Summary : The Library Information Services Director supervises the provision of legal information materials and services to the Court of Common Pleas, the Magisterial District Judges, and all other judicial and court-related offices. The Library Information Services Director is also responsible for defining and carrying out the mission and services of the Lehigh County Law Library, a public county law library. He / she has the overall responsibility for all Law Library services, policies, planning, budget, personnel, and collection development. He / she has the responsibility for all acquisitions, cataloging, and technical processing. He / she is responsible for the provision of reference services, bibliographic instruction, online database provision, and all other patron services .

Supervisory Responsibilities : The Library Information Services Director has supervisory responsibility for approximately (6) direct reports.
Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education should specifically be Bachelors in Library Science or prior law firm library experience.
