Manufacturing Expeditor

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expedite the transfer of materials, components, tooling and paperwork between different manufacturing departments to ensure timely production processes.
• Review production schedules to identify shortages.
• Alert team members of any potential problems.
• Report on completion dates, material changes, shortages, schedule status and schedule modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory counts, and any discrepancies noted during handling.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team and other departments to streamline material flow and address any material handling issues.
• Other tasks assigned by Management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-3 years previous experience in a manufacturing or material handling role is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and inventory tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Standard manufacturing environment with adherence to safety protocols.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Move/Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds.
• Standing up to 8+ hours per day.
