The Role and the Team

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with exceptional analytical and forecasting skills to join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst for R&D. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis R&D, and will support the executive level business partners in the Engineering organization and their respective teams. In this role, you will be directly involved in all our core planning monthly, quarterly, and annual outlook. You will provide variance analysis of expenses, headcount, and maintain part of our financial model to accurately reflect future performance. You will be part of a team forecasting headcount and cost with a high degree of precision.

Your Day To Day

• Analyze budget/forecast variances to actual and review with Engineering management teams.
• Participate in the annual and quarterly planning process.
• Monitor, update and review financial models to ensure they are accurate and timely.
• Report and measure key metrics relevant to the respective Engineering teams.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for business support.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems and processes to support the successful completion of timely and accurate forecasts.

What You Bring To The Team

• Proven experience as a Finance Partner, working collaboratively with functional leaders to support the achievement of their operational and functional goals.
• Experience working directly in an FP&A environment modeling headcount and expenses.
• Experience with a financial planning tool, ERP and CRM required. Experience with Adaptive Planning, D365 a plus.
• Sound understanding of accounting theory and practice (e.g. basic revenue recognition rules, company capitalization policies and proper expense recognition)
• Mastery of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of an organization
• Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models
• Ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
• Capability at effectively managing time, prioritizing tasks and working within deadlines
• Team player approach with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Education that serves as a foundation for your experience in Finance, such as a BA/BS degree in finance or accounting with 4+ years of financial analysis experience

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area: Base Pay Range: 119,630.00 - 187,990.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska: Base Pay Range: 99,330.00 - 156,090.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above: Base Pay Range: 89,390.00 - 140,470.00 USD
