Payroll Compliance Specialist
The primary objective of this position is to ensure all payroll transactions completed by the Payroll Staff, University Departments, and University Employees comply with the applicable Federal Laws, State Laws, and University Policies and Procedures each pay period.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of payroll policies, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of payroll processing activities.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Excellent problem-resolution skills and excellent attention to detail when reviewing the work of others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to enter and manipulate data and produce reports in database software.
- Demonstrated ability to produce documents using PC-based software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex mathematical computations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and to complete all tasks required with minimum supervision.
