Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an adult outpatient rehab assignment requiring lymphedema certification and at least one year of outpatient experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in an adult outpatient rehabilitation facilityDay shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM)Patient population includes adults to geriatrics, with diagnoses such as stroke, orthopedic cases (shoulder, hands, UE), MS, TBI, and Guillain-BarréPatient ratio is 1 : 1Epic EMR and SBAR communication systems are used; Epic experience requiredRare floating within the facility may be requiredNo weekend or on-call requirementsMajor holiday coverage required according to assignment datesReturn travelers must be away from all related facilities for 1 full year to be eligibleTravel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unitMust comply with all onboarding and compliance requirements before start dateUp to 7 days of requested time off allowed; no requests permitted during the first week of the assignmentDress code allows black scrubs or business casual attireFirst-time travelers acceptedRequirements
Active GA State OT license required if applicableLymphedema certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 1 year of outpatient OT experienceAbility to perform assessments, discharge planning, evaluations, reassessments, and provide patient / family educationExperience with lifting, transfers, adaptive equipment, and pre-discharge planningProficiency with Epic EMR system requiredBenefits
