Opportunity :

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details :

  • Work 3x8 day shifts from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Wednesday through Friday
  • No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements
  • Prepare and administer correct radiopharmaceutical dosages to patients
  • Operate imaging equipment to scan requested areas of the body
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide calming, reassuring care
  • Maintain imaging equipment and ensure safe operation
  • Work with adult patient population
  • Required certifications : BLS, CNMT, ARRT N
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMT cert) required
  • Skills needed : GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba equipment operation
  • Experience with HIDA Scan, 3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body, DTPA Aerosol procedures
  • Proficiency in Perfusion, Ventilation / Perfusion, Cancer Survey, I-123 Uptake Scan
  • Ability to perform Pharmacological Stress and Thallium stress tests
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and IV start / maintenance
  • Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Valid California license required at time of submission
  • May float to other locations if census is low on home unit

The facility maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols, particularly in handling radioactive materials and operating specialized imaging equipment.
