American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for home health services in Hawaii, requiring 1 year of home health experience and a HI license.
Responsibilities
Home health setting serving adult and geriatric patients in Kaua‘iDay shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8 : 00 to 16 : 30Occasional floating to Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island with expenses coveredProductivity requirement of 25 units per weekMatrixCare EMR documentation is usedProvide OT assessments, develop and implement care plans, and deliver therapy to patients in their homesEducate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and injury preventionWork with patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, and chronic conditions such as COPD, CHF, and CVAOccasional floating to other islands may be required, with paid expensesFirst-time travelers are welcomeScrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes are requiredPreferred skills include wound care, acute care, lymphedema management, and neurodevelopmental techniquesRequirements
Current BLS (AHA) certification requiredHI Occupational Therapist license requiredMinimum 1 year of home health experience requiredExperience in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and adaptive devices requiredSkilled in home health assessments, plan of care, OASIS, discharge, and reassessmentsAbility to use MatrixCare EMR systemProficient with assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, and vital signsBenefits
