Business Process Consultant role is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive significant business impact. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging project management and Lean Six Sigma expertise to lead transformative projects and drive impactful process improvement to support business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership :
Lead large-scale, high-impact projects with multiple workstreams. Ensure projects are executed with urgency and deliver sustainable results.
Technical Expertise :
Serve as an expert in project management with an emphasis on process improvement. Apply advanced methodologies to solve complex business problems.
Autonomy :
Operate independently, resolving complex issues with minimal oversight. Escalate only the most challenging problems.
Stakeholder Engagement :
Confidently and intentionally engage VP-level stakeholders throughout the duration of projects. Build strong relationships and facilitate alignment across functions.
Executive Influence & Change Management :
Ability to challenge the status quo and build credibility to challenge executives using data. Lead the “people side” of change. Ability to build strong relationships and facilitate alignment across functions.
Advanced Analytics & Digital Transformation :
Bridge the gap between process improvement and advanced analytics.
Training & Mentorship : Design and facilitate LSS training curriculums; support certification of new belts within the organization.
Communications :
Deliver proficient presentations and live facilitation. Curate written materials (email, Word, PPT) for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
Strategic Impact :
Drive transformative projects that align with organizational strategy. Contribute to the achievement of significant business outcomes.
Metrics & Outcomes :
Be accountable for projects with significant business impact (typically $1M+). Ensure sustainability and measurement of results.
Qualifications
PMP, ASQ Black Belt and / or ASQ Master Black Belt (MBB) certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
Advanced proficiency in data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python). and project management.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
