Position Overview
The role of an Instrumentation and Control Technician involves maintaining and repairing instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment in a power plant and its associated facilities. This position requires a high level of skill in inspecting, repairing, testing, adjusting, installing, and removing electronic and electrical equipment.
Main Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently conduct maintenance following all permits and procedures.
Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment, emergency backup systems, and spare parts inventory management.
Maintain equipment files, logs, and drawings.
Record and compile data, complete forms, logs, and reports.
Conduct required inspections and address any reported issues.
Assist in maintaining plant operating manuals, technical references, and maintenance records.
Inspect, repair, install, and remove various electrical equipment up to 18kV.
Repair, replace, and clean equipment components.
Manage safety, LOTO procedures, and other necessary paperwork.
Use a variety of tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with team members on various responsibilities.
Additional Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems up to kV under supervision.
Request parts and supplies as needed.
Perform administrative functions such as shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Maintain detailed records of tests, repairs, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and ensure optimal functioning.
Prepare work orders, job safety analyses, and follow procedures diligently.
Maintain required training certifications.
Carry out assigned job-related duties. Work Relationships
Reports to plant Management or IC&E Lead
Collaborates with other technicians and remote operations personnel
Qualifications :
Education : AA degree from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent experience and / or training; or a combination of both. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience : At least 3 years of operational power plant experience or related work experience in plant maintenance.

Willingness to work at various plant locations.
Availability for weekend coverage, overtime, and travel as needed.

Valid driver's license and physical ability to perform job tasks.
Understanding of power plant maintenance and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, communicate effectively, and train others.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with protective equipment when necessary.
