Test Technician

Location : Fountain Valley, CA

Pay Rate : $25

Employment Type : Temp-to-Hire or Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Technician to support the Testing Department by maintaining the functionality, reliability, and productivity of testing equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess testing equipment performance to ensure quality and operational efficiency
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to PM schedules
  • Calibrate and verify functionality of testing equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair testing equipment based on engineering specifications or manufacturer guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of testing activities and prepare reports for engineers and other stakeholders
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding technical concerns or equipment needs
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support department operations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in electronics and electrical circuits
  • High attention to detail with the ability to detect inconsistencies in results or equipment behavior
  • Effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to interpret test results and recognize trends or abnormalities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Linux, and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in Electronics, or
  • 1–3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment
