Job Title : Fire Sprinkler Technician – Fire Protection Specialist
Scope and Purpose of This Position
The primary purpose of this position is to repair and service Fire Sprinkler Systems, Backflow Devices, and develop familiarity with the basics of Fire Alarm Systems and related components.
Your day-to-day duties will include assisting with inspections, testing, repairs, and diagnosing issues with equipment, including but not limited to Fire Sprinkler Systems. You must also possess enough knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems to place systems in test mode, verify flow switch signals to the alarm panel, and perform related tasks.
Maintaining your Backflow Testing Certification in NC and SC is required. You will perform inspections, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting on these devices. Additional responsibilities include repairing sprinkler system deficiencies, performing light installation / upfit work, and completing pipe repair duties—such as cutting, threading, and grooving steel pipe, as well as CPVC applications. Sprinkler head changeouts for both steel and CPVC systems are also included.
You will be responsible for preparing the required documentation necessary to initiate billing for all service functions performed.
You must also be proficient in using our operating software system for receiving scheduled job assignments, documenting work performed, logging job check-ins and check-outs, completing inspection reports, etc.
You will receive strong administrative support when needed—including sourcing repair parts and supplies. Compliance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal codes and regulations is required.
