Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking adjunct faculty to teach graduate-level courses in a variety of topic areas of OT fundamentals, Musculoskeletal Fundamentals, Neurological Fundamentals, Level I Fieldwork, Advanced Topics, Pediatrics, and Professional Practice, Administration and Policy.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Mission of the Occupational Therapy Program is to produce graduates who are clinically, professionally, and culturally competent in occupational therapy. Graduates will engage in evidence-based scholarship and service to promote equitable care that contributes to the quality of life for individuals and communities.
Our program places a strong emphasis on immersive experiences with diverse cultures, ethnic groups and opportunities for regional, community and international service and learning. We offer an integrated curriculum that highlights “hands on” applications and fundamental courses that prepares students in their role as occupational therapy practitioner, administrator, educator-learner and researcher in traditional and emerging areas of practice. Courses are delivered in an engaging manner that cultivates learning while stimulating creativity, critical reasoning and evidence-based practice. The primary function of the academic unit is to prepared graduates to become entry-level occupational therapy practitioners.
