At Double E Group, we engineer and manufacture web and material handling and converting solutions that serve the paper, tissue, film, and foil markets worldwide. In our Machining / Manufacturing / Assembly facility, you’ll join a hands-on team that includes manual machining, saw cutting, assembly, and service experts—all committed to precise results.
Role Outcomes (First 90 Days)
- Master operating routines in a low-volume, high-mix cell with 5+ changeovers daily.
- Reduce average setup time by grouping and sequencing jobs intelligently.
- Demonstrate repeatable first-piece inspections using vernier calipers, micrometers, and drop dial indicators.
- Collaborate with Supervisor and Application Engineering / Programming to implement at least one process improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Operate CNC equipment and perform efficient setups.Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Stop machines to remove finished pieces or to change tooling, setup, or piece placement according to machining sequences.Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules using computer network links.Continuously verify proper lubrication and cooling during machine operation.Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished piece dimensions, and numerical control sequences.Other duties as assigned.Skills and Requirements
Some CNC programming experience.Average math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide).Ability to read and comprehend instructions; simple oral communication skills.Team-oriented and reliable.Physical Demands
Lift, push, pull, and position components up to 50 lbs.Stand consistently for an entire 8 to 10-hour shift.Education and Experience
Minimum of three years’ machine shop experience, or one year with vocational school graduation.Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus; general mechanical knowledge also preferred.Why This Role
