American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Weston, Florida.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong transplant surgery experience and advanced OR skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Operating Room specializing in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases
  • Shift is 11 : 00 AM to 11 : 30 PM, with on-call liver transplant responsibilities and rotating through other surgical cases
  • One on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend on-call shifts per month required
  • Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Ceil blue scrubs are required
  • Responsibilities focus on assisting with and circulating for transplant surgeries, specifically organ implantation
  • Time-sensitive training modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • All requested time off must be communicated during consideration; additional requests may not be approved
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • All travelers must be nicotine free with no exceptions
  • Permanent and per diem nurses cannot return to this health system within one year of their previous end date

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active FL or compact RN license is required
  • Minimum 2 years of direct liver or transplant OR RN experience required
  • Must have experience in organ transplant implantation (not just harvesting)
  • Proficiency with MISONIX / CUSA is required
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS (at time of consideration) and NIHSS (prior to start)
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Must pass EKG and Pharm tests during orientation with a maximum of two attempts
  • Candidates must be nicotine free and able to pass a 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen
