The Doe Fund is also one of New York City's largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $73 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.

We are currently seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This hybrid position, based at our 102nd Street office in the Upper East Side / Harlem, is temporary with the potential to become permanent and reports to the Director of Payroll.

Responsibilities :

• Enter and update payroll data, including salary changes, garnishments, and adjustments in ADP.
• Perform time card reviews for staff to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for 700+ employees and 500+ trainees
• Maintain and update Human Resources data within ADP.
• Process manual checks when necessary.
• Coordinate with facility administrative assistants to ensure accurate payroll submissions.
• Prepare and maintain payroll reports for internal and external use.
• Address and clarify any payroll-related inquiries from employees and / or HR.
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures outlined in the Payroll Accounting Manual or by the Payroll Manager.
• Oversee 401K Administration, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare and review payroll reports for 401K & Payroll Administrator's review.
• Prepare and maintain the trainee payroll spreadsheet for Senior Payroll Specialist review.
• Conduct the first review of trainee payroll before submitting it to Senior Payroll Specialist
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
