Accounting/Payroll Clerk

Transdev in Rosenberg, Texas is hiring an Accounting/Payroll Clerk. The Accounting/Payroll Clerk assists the Assistant General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $19.50 Maximum $24.25 per hour.
Benefits include:
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks/10 days paid
  • Holidays: 8 days

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process new employee files & records and submit them to the Assistant General Manager for approval; submit appropriate paperwork to the regional accounting office.
  • Calculate & input driver & staff payroll / vacation into system for processing.
  • Track attendance for full/ part-time employees.
  • Responsible for fare reconciliation & deposits.
  • Responsible for Trip Edit Auditing
  • Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 68 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
