About The Position

We are

seeking a skilled and experienced Locums Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Physician

to join a dedicated surgical team in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves a

mix of hospital call coverage and clinic responsibilities, providing

high-quality care to patients with cardiothoracic conditions. The ideal

candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC / BE), trained in

cardiothoracic surgery, and proficient with a wide range of surgical

procedures.

Key

Details :

Call Coverage : 15 days per

month (24-hour call)

• Daily Patient Volume : 4

Daily Clinical Requirements : 4 hours per

day of hospital, clinic, or OR time plus 24-hour call responsibilities ,

with call backs as needed

Responsibilities :

Provide cardiac and thoracic

surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Manage hospital call coverage,

including emergent and urgent cases.

Conduct patient evaluations,

pre-operative and post-operative care.

Perform a variety of cardiothoracic

surgical procedures with precision and excellence.

Collaborate with a

multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Document all patient interactions

and surgical procedures accurately in EPIC.

Requirements :

Board Certified or Board Eligible

in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Completion of an accredited

cardiothoracic surgery fellowship

Active Alaska medical license or

eligibility to obtain
