[job_card.job_description]Active secret or L security clearance required, with ability to upgrade to TS. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, business, or other degree. Work experience in lieu of degree considered. 7 or more years of engineering technical writing experience. Proven ability to work effectively and closely with engineers and other technical professionals to produce highly effective technical documents. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint; and proficiency with their versioning features. Proficiency with the Department of Defense / Department of War Secure Access File Exchange web application. Proficiency with the Atlassian Confluence collaboration software. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Position Description
Your Opportunity :
In this full-time position with TechSource you will support the work performed at the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center's (AFNWC) Nuclear Certification Team. You will provide technical writing support for engineering documents and serve as a bridge between program management and technical teams. You will also provide documentation of technical programmatic decisions, including technical meeting minutes, action items, and other documentation.
It is a hybrid schedule, with 1-2 days in the office weekly, depending on client meetings and needs. Your onsite work with be at the AFNWC location on base, located in Albuquerque, NM.
What You Will Do :
- Produce technical documents to support both program management and technical teams.
- Interface with technical engineering experts to support engineering projects.
- Review technical meeting minutes to prepare 1-2 page summaries, including action items and technical decisions made.
