Light Equipment Mechanic-Fabricator

SUMMARY

Central Recycling Services a company within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Welder, Fabricator, and Light Duty Mechanic for its operations in Anchorage Alaska. The position will oversee and perform welding, fabrication, and light duty maintenance on equipment in the scrap yard and recycle area in accordance with all manufacturers’ recommendations, and company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Equipment Superintendent and Operations Manager’s to maintain all Equipment and keep it in safe, working order.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of all work done.
• Job may include fueling, lubrication, operating, laboring, preventative maintenance, welding, fabrication, and repairs.
• Other Duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme cold and heat. Will be working around heavy equipment, hazardous materials, dirt / dust, and loud noises.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. Must have reliable transportation to / from work.
