Shift : 1st Shift Hours : Monday–Friday, 5 : 30 / 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM (hours may vary with workload) Salary : $75,000–$95,000 annually , depending on experience Locations : Evansville & Janesville Status : Immediate Hire Position Summary The Working Material Handling Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse, material handling, and inventory operations across two locations (Evansville and Janesville). This individual will supervise a team of 5–10 employees , while also performing hands-on duties to support the flow of materials, order fulfillment, stocking, and shipping activities. This is a working supervisor role , meaning the ideal candidate will lead by example—balancing strong leadership with active participation in day-to-day tasks. Success in this role requires advanced experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) , Microsoft Office , and warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. Essential Functions Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities Provide daily leadership to material handling teams at both locations. Train, develop, and support employees; manage performance and address concerns promptly. Plan and allocate manpower to meet operational needs. Maintain accurate departmental records and documentation. Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment. Shipping & Receiving Oversee accurate and timely receipt, handling, storage, and staging of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure materials are delivered to production areas as needed to support workflow. Coordinate shipments to customers, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and timeliness. Maintain accuracy of inventory transactions within the ERP system . Safety / 5S / Continuous Improvement Uphold all safety standards and proactively address safety concerns or incidents. Lead 5S and organization efforts to ensure clean, efficient, and safe workspace environments. Support and enforce ISO procedures and quality requirements. Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives. Other Duties Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Participate in problem-solving activities, quality audits, and cross-functional team initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success. Qualifications 5 years of forklift and material handling equipment operation experience. 5 years of supervisory experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling. Strong ERP experience required ; Epicor preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word). High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred . Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team development skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between locations. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull 50–100 lbs . Frequent standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment. Exposure to loud noise, dust, and varied weather conditions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and material handling processes. Ability to maintain accurate records and use business software effectively. Skilled in prioritizing and working under tight timelines. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
