Salary : $22.94-$24.81 DOE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of experience, education and / or training which would substantially demonstrate the ability to perform the duties listed below. At least one year of continuous sobriety. And if recovery, an active member of a mutual self-help group such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. One year of related experience working with people with alcohol and / or drug addictions, a commercial kitchen is preferred. Clean driving record. CPR and First Aid, Health Code Training / Safe Serve (to be completed upon hiring).
DESCRIPTION
Provides resource support to staff and program participants to facilitate agency and program goals. The Program Aid plans meals, purchases food, assists program participants in preparing healthy eating choices, supervises cleanup of kitchen & dining area and provides other program activity support including driving participants to appointments. Maintains good relationships with Department of Health and local food banks. Health and safety are of primary importance Program Aid acts as a peer mentor and provides social model recovery activities.
NOTE : Employees will be required to have a TB test, fingerprinted, and will be subject to clearance by the Department of Justice.
