• Experience in administration of blood and blood products
• Experience in administration of chemotherapy
• Knowledge of preventing and managing complications related to blood cancers

Description :

This position involves working in an oncology unit.

Registered Nurses will be responsible for the management and care of oncology patients.

They will oversee patients receiving chemotherapy and other treatments.

Candidates must pass an EKG exam and demonstrate skills in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Floating to different units within the department is required based on patient care needs.

The nurse will have a patient ratio of 4 : 1 for all shifts.

Experience in general medical / surgical nursing is required.

Oncology experience is not mandatory but is a plus.

The average daily census is approximately 30 patients.

Every other weekend commitment is expected.

Interdisciplinary support will be available from various teams, including physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy.

Candidates must possess a willingness to train and care for oncology and chemotherapy patients.
