The Role

Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, processes, and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications to liabilities, processes, and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include : Aid in the establishment and sustainment of a formal training and qualification program for the SUBSAFE Re-Entry Control (REC) Certification Team. Develop and maintain a formal method for conducting reviews of required OQE. Provide assistance formulating responses to defects discovered during audits.

Must Have

Bachelors Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Masters Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelors Degree to meet minimum qualifications :

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associates Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School / GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School / GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
