Crane Assembler

Currently hiring crane assemblers in Richmond, VA. As a crane assembler your main responsibility is to ensure the safe and reliable installation, inspection, and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoist systems. Crane Assembler Responsibilities :

• Inspect overhead cranes and hoists to confirm OSHA and ANSI safety standards, as well as manufacturer standards
• Install new systems, including layout planning, steel erection, and wiring
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components, including motor controls and circuits
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation
• Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repairs or upgrades
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair schedules and estimated completion times
• Work safely at heights, perform heavy lifting, and adapt to various work environments

Crane Assembler Qualifications :

1+ years of experience in crane or hoist systems, military background considered

Strong knowledge of AC / DC theory and troubleshooting 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems

Mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills

Willingness to travel approximately 25% (preferred)

Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts

Additional Info :

Occasional overtime and travel required

40-50 hours per week
