The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is the research division of the company. ATG’s mission is to look ahead, deliver insights, and innovate technological solutions that will fuel Dolby’s continued growth. Our researchers have a broad range of expertise related to computer science and electrical engineering, such as AI / ML, algorithms, digital signal processing, audio engineering, image processing, computer vision, data science & analytics, distributed systems, cloud, edge & mobile computing, computer networking, and IoT.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Researcher within Dolby ATG Research, you will focus on the following areas :

Cutting-Edge, Hands-On Research

• Invent and develop next-generation AI-driven image and video processing technologies, with a particular focus on image / video capture solutions using emerging sensors, camera signal processing, and 3D spatial capture.
• Collaborate with Dolby’s world-class global research teams to define directions, identify projects, and drive the creation of groundbreaking image technologies that fuel Dolby’s licensing and cloud businesses.
• Combine traditional image processing techniques with advanced AI algorithms to address challenges in image delivery, analysis, and content creation.

Talent Development and Team Leadership

Technology Strategy

Education and Desired Experience

Experience with : Generative models (diffusion, autoregressive, etc.)

Self-supervised learning, contrastive learning, and autoencoders

Applications such as source separation, text-to-speech, music synthesis, image segmentation, and language models.

Additional Skills and Attributes

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is$148,900-$182,000,which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
