Job Summary
Center is hiring full-time, bilingual (Spanish-English) Licensed or Pre-Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our growing Mental Health and Wellness team. We have two active openings—both grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive clinical care :
- Clinic-Based Therapist : Provides trauma-specific and culturally informed direct services to youth, adults, and families.
- Lead Therapist : Specialty services for youth with early psychosis (Coordinated Specialty Care)
Both positions are community-oriented, mission-driven, and supported by strong clinical supervision, training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Essential Functions
Provides comprehensive clinical assessment of assigned clients, including diagnosis, psychosocial history, medical history, and review of family and social systems with a focus on client and family's strengths and goals for treatmentDevelops with the client / caregivers a service plan that supports the goals for treatment and specifically addresses problem areas requiring amelioration within measurable, achievable, short-term timelines.Provides direct services to clients, including individual, family, and group treatment and case management services to mild, moderate, and moderate to severe level of care clients.Deliver treatment across multiple settings including schools, homes, group homes, and in-office, with consideration for client needs and safety.Provides crisis intervention services within the assigned program scope of services and through the agency-wide on-call systemMaintain timely weekly progress notes, quarterly and closing summaries up to insurance standards. Submit required clinical documentation within 24-72 hours of service provided.Participate in discharge planning and coordinate aftercare supportRemains informed of Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and / or Board of Psychology (BOP) laws and regulations.Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings, individual / group supervision, and clinical consultation.Abide by all HIPAA regulations and documentation standards.Remains informed of BBS / BOP laws and ethical standards.Maintain registration / licensure and complete required CEUs.Comply with all Medi-Cal / insurance documentation and quality assurance standards.Additional duties as assigned.Track-Specific Responsibilities
Clinic-Based TherapistMaintain a caseload of 25 clients and / or meet 66% productivity per month.Serve youth, adults, and families with varied presenting needs.Deliver trauma-specific and culturally informed services in Spanish and English.Participate in clinic-based services, with flexibility for school and community settings.Lead Therapist – Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC Program)Maintain a caseload of 15–20 clients and meet 66% productivity monthly.Work with youth (12–25) experiencing early psychosis in collaboration with EPI-CAL (UCSF, UC Davis, Stanford).Receive specialized training in CSC / First Episode Psychosis model.Support program outreach, including community presentations.Provide family support and advocate at IEP / 504 meetings.Rotate in co-leading Multi-Family Groups biweekly, evenings 5 : 30–7 : 30 PM.Provide non-supervisory support to other therapists or support staff.Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.Registered with BBS (AMFT, ASW, APCC) or Licensed (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC).Bilingual in Spanish (required).Knowledge and experience working with adolescents, children, families; 2+ years preferred.Valid California Driver License.Current California licensure preferred for clinic-based role; required for CSC lead role.Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience working in CSC, CHRp, or FEP programs (CSC role only).Experience with Medi-Cal billing / documentation.Knowledge of community resources, case management, and outreach.Core Competencies
