Student Teaching Assistant

Job Posting Summary

The teaching assistant assists the instructor in their classroom as well as outside the classroom. Duties include grading of homework, helping students with any questions they may have with concepts and / or skills in the course, and tutoring students as needed. Assist the instructor in the classroom with records and assignments. Lead discussion sessions as needed. Grade homework assignments and provide feedback to students. Help students with any questions they may have with the content of the course. Tutor students during office hours and as needed. Proctor exams and quizzes.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Python and Java Experience with being a Teaching Assistant (optional) B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields. Must be able to come to campus (Dobbs Ferry and / or Manhattan) Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
