Job Title : Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location : Bronx, NY
Employment Type : Permanent / Full-Time
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
Compensation : $290,000 – $350,000 annually (based on experience)
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight at a leading healthcare facility in the Bronx, NY area. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven executive with a proven record in hospital or healthcare administration, capable of optimizing performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead, plan, and oversee the development of operational programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
Supervise implementation of initiatives across departments and ensure effective coordination with executive leadership.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and inspection readiness.
Recommend and manage procurement of equipment, supplies, and capital projects within established policies.
Participate in interdepartmental and multidisciplinary meetings to strengthen communication and collaboration.
Support the CEO in developing and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies, professional organizations, and community partners.
Oversee the creation and implementation of hospital management and reporting systems for performance tracking and evaluation.
Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and professional development among staff.
Lead and participate in the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets.
Ensure all operational activities align with budgetary and performance goals.
Serve as acting Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the CEO.
Education :
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Medical Administration , or a related discipline.
Requirements :
Minimum 6 years of senior-level experience in business or public administration, preferably within healthcare operations.
Proven leadership in hospital administration with direct responsibility for overall or departmental operations.
Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, compliance standards, and hospital operational practices.
Certifications :
BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
