Position: General Service Technician

Location: 5th Gear Automotive (7301 W 118th Place, Broomfield CO 80020)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends!)

What You’ll Do:

Perform routine maintenance and general service repairs on a variety of vehicles
Utilize basic tools and obtain additional tools as required to perform job functions effectively
Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Perform inspections, diagnoses, repair, and replacement of general parts and accessories for cars and light trucks
Perform fluid exchanges, general inspections and maintenance, brake inspection, battery, and electronics work
Perform a variety of other duties: replacing wiper blades, bulbs, performing test drives
Communicate vehicle problems and proposed solutions to customer and/or supervisor
Keep a clean and safe working environment

What We’re Looking For:

A good standing driving record
Basic toolset and willingness to acquire necessary tools
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
Someone that can:
Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
Be willing to learn all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Tasks including computer diagnostic procedures, engine repair, cooling system repair, emissions system repair
Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair by attending schooling and seminars
Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives
Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
