Job Description: The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. The role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The technologist will review physician orders, maintain accurate documentation of procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support effective patient care. The position requires adherence to established clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in General Registered Ultrasound. Completion of an accredited training program for Ultrasound Technology . Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and clinical protocols. Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations while ensuring comfort and safety. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images. Maintain proper documentation of procedures and patient information in medical records. Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines. Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff regarding exam results and patient needs.
